Gobelo Amakhosi in Bulawayo offers a dining experience like no other. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Zimbabwe’s second city, our restaurant brings together the charm of Bulawayo’s rich heritage and the warmth of its people. Whether you’re enjoying a breezy lunch under the shade of our open diner or a cozy dinner warmed by our heaters as the sun dips below the skyline, every moment feels special.

Inside, soothing music drifts through the air, blending perfectly with the aroma of dishes crafted to delight, from pesto linguine and farm-fresh pulled pork to the timeless bushman’s steak, every plate is a celebration of flavour with a touch of local inspiration. Around you, beautiful artwork speaks to the values at the heart of Gobelo Amakhosi, making the space feel as soulful as it is inviting.

Step outside and the view pulls you in, a lively duck pond alive with fish, ducks gliding gracefully across the water, and a little bridge arching over like our own Pont des Arts, where guests pause to smile, take photos and simply... be in the moment.

And when it comes to drinks, our bar has it all, cocktails, mocktails, wines, fresh juices or something stronger if the evening calls for it. At Gobelo Amakhosi, every sip and every bite carries a memory waiting to be made.

Gobelo Mtoa in Hwange is not your ordinary restaurant, it’s where the wild meets the soulful. Set on the soft Kalahari sands that gently ease your feet after a day of astonishing sightings in Hwange National Park, our open-air thatched diner rests in the heart of an ancient teak forest. Just a stone’s throw from the park itself, it feels like a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

From your table, the view is alive: a small waterhole where giraffes, kudu, buffalo and our most loyal visitors, the elephants, come to drink. It’s a kind of dining theatre that no city restaurant can ever offer.

The menu celebrates both comfort and adventure - chicken satay, grilled t-bone, roasted duck and on some nights, traditional dinners that end with music and dancing beneath the open Hwange skies. When it comes to drinks, our bar offers cocktails, mocktails, whiskey, gin, ciders, wines, beers, juices and more. See the Gobelo Mtoa menu here...

Whether you’re gathering for an al fresco dinner by the waterhole on a cool evening or enjoying a light midday meal in the shade with an ice bucket of drinks, Gobelo Mtoa turns every moment into memory.
